We embrace and encourage parental involvement
Prior to your child’s first classroom session, an in-person conversation with a Professor Peaches instructor is scheduled. If scheduling conflicts make it challenging to come to the Center prior to your child starting, then speaking with the instructor on the phone is another option. This initial meeting is to:
- Answer any of your questions.
- Show you around the Center.
- Learn from you about your child’s strengths and areas to further develop.
- Discuss your goals for your child.
-
You will receive valuable feedback
Throughout your child’s progression in the program, you will be provided with ongoing verbal and written feedback on your child’s growth and development. You are also welcome to contact your instructor, at any time, to arrange a meeting or phone call to discuss any specific questions that may arise.
Additionally, parents are invited to join ‘open classes’ during their child’s regular class time. During these sessions, parents are able to actively observe and to also participate in the lesson.

Be a part of your child's success
The weekly homework activities, moreover, allow for further parental involvement. While the majority of the assignments are intentionally designed for the child to complete without requiring the assistance of others, many of these activities also work equally well having children present their final product to you, as their audience.
